Entry Requirements
1. Applicant should be aged between 18 and 35 (born after September 1, 1988);
2. Applicant should be non-Chinese citizens with valid regular foreign passport and be friendly to China;
*Residents of China who have emigrated to a foreign country and who are now applying to study in China as international students must have held a valid foreign passport for at least 4 years, and must have actually resided in a foreign country for at least 2 years in the past 4 years (as of April 30, 2023). (9 months of residence in a foreign country may count as a full year. The dates of the entry and exit stamps in the passport will be followed in the determination of the actual length of foreign residence).
3. Applicant should hold a bachelor diploma with a satisfactory academic record;
4. Language requriement:
(1).applicants who apply for English tauht programs should have a TOEFL score above 80 or IELTS score above 5.5;
(2). Master of Translation Program offers specialty in English-Chinese, Japnese-Chinese translation;
*English-Chinese translation specialty requires: TOEFL score above 80 or IELTS above 5.5;
*Japnese-Chinese translation requires: JSPT 2 or JLPT 2.
*Both specialties requires HSK5.
(3). Foreign Language and Literature program offers specialty in English language and literature, Japanese language and literature, French language and literature, foreign linguistics and applied linguistics,foreign language curriculum and teacher education;
*language requirement for specialty of English langauge, literature and foreign linguistics and applied linguistics,foreign language curriculum and teacher education: TOEFL score above 80 or IELTS above 5.5;
*Japnese language and literature requires: JSPT 2 or JLPT 2.
*French language and literature requries:la spécialité Langue et Littérature Françaises doit avoir le niveau B2 d’après le CECRL
5. Applicant should have no criminal record and no drug addiction history;
6. Aplicant should be in good health and have no serious infectious diseases.

Having a basic understanding of Social work and 2 years, 6 months working experience alone is not enough for me. i want to increase and further my social work knowledge base and studying with diverse people from different set up will enhance my social workexperience. Currently in Zimbabwe am facing challenges of obtaining my Masters Degree in Social Work because of financial challenges as well as limited places hence forcing me to look abroad for wider horizons. Program Description
1. Overview of the Program
Editor Notes: This program aims at training qualified professional social worker internationally in promoting sustainable development in their home countries.
Department of Social Work of Zhejiang Normal University was set up in 2001. Due to its academic and educational achievements, it was awarded as the Outstanding program in 2009. and the most prosperous program in 2014 by the Provincial Bureau of Education. We initiated the first MSW program in Zhejiang Province in 2009. Since then, great efforts have been paid to increasing the quality of education and producing more research findings so as to enhance the academic reputation of the Department domestically and internationally.
The international MSW program started in 2016 aiming at training qualified professional social worker internationally with a sound theoretical foundation, solid base of professional ethics, rich practical experiences, and strong sense of mission and social responsibility, so that they can play an important role in promoting sustainable development in their home countries.
Multiple teaching methods such as lecture, case study and field placement would be applied in this program. It also emphasizes on practice teaching and training of occupation ability through scientific and reasonable modularity, systematic and orderly training model. To strengthen social work skill training and balance research ability, the practice courses will utilize combined teaching approaches of "classroom teaching + experimental simulation + practice operation".
2. Curriculum
Editor Notes: Social work practice can be divided into two parts, including synchronous and intensive practice, to be completed in 2 years respectively.
This is a two year's curriculum full time program. Candidates s are required to finish the course-work of 32 credits, with 800 hours practicum, and a thesis as fulfillment for application for the degree.
Pedagogy: Diverse pedagogies include lectures, presentations, ,seminars, group discussions, workshops, tutorials, case studies and field visits.
3. Curriculum Structure and Credit Requirement

Complete it in Chinese or English, The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take physical examination as the result is valid for only 6 months.
